Between Patagonia and Easter Island, we had a 3 days long stopover in Santiago, Chile. This vast city looks best from the peaks of the neighboring hills.

We stayed at <!–more–>Mandy and Christian – a German couple that we found through highly recommended couchsurfing.org. Christian, a raising star in the world of music, gave us a crash course on DJ-in on his awesome equipment. It was almost midnight and no neighbor complained – in Switzerland we would have been expelled from the country by then.

In return for this enjoyable lesson, we prepared “golabki”, a traditional Polish dish, that, of course, turned out to be well known in Germany… Not the first time and not the last one the meal reveals to be more international than it seemed.
